9 - The Dorm that Dripped Blood

Halloween is upon us and for our 9th episode Erin picks The Dorm That Dripped Blood! Turn your fun dial to “terror” as we run through this 1982 low budget horror flick that serves as Daphne Zuniga’s debut. She was Princess Vespa in Spaceballs. One critic calls the movie “intensely, aggressively, crudely, claustrophobically typical.” How can a movie be typical in those ways? Find out with us! Also, Jason gruesomely beats a joke to death.

In the podcast I (Jason) mention how my friend was an extra in Soul Survivors, which was made by the same director, Stephen Carpenter. Here's an image that took way too much time to find!

8 - Dead Heat

In our 8th episode Jason chooses the awesome 1988 zombie comedy, Dead Heat (Treat Williams, Joe Piscopo). We discuss the concept of Death Day Parties, the wild discontinuity with zombie makeup and the film’s epic one-liners. You guys, the buddy cops are attacked by a butchered zombie cow and chicken wings! Let’s talk about it!

Below is the first part of the episode on the YouTube plus Erin unboxing the movie. Enjoy!

6 - 10 Cloverfield Lane

Open the bunker of your mind to the soothing sounds of Jason and Erin as they discuss the tense thriller, 10 Cloverfield Lane. We talk about the emergence of the prepper subculture. Then things take a turn for the heavy as we reveal what we would regret if we were trapped in a bunker during an apocalyptic event. Other topics include how the film fits into the Cloverfield franchise and what would happen with a VERY different cast. Enjoy!
